Low Budget Orchestra est en fait le projet d'un seul homme. Mikko Muranen, compositeur et multi-instrumentiste finlandais, assure à lui tout seul, le travail de composition, d'interprétation et de production. "Innerstellar" est ici son troisième album après "Extraordinary" en 2006 et "The Second Best" en 2008. Le style de cet artiste est à classer dans la mouvance progressive où ses compositions instrumentales s'apparentent à une musique aux frontières de l'ambient, du rock atmosphérique et du rock psychédélique. La guitare qui sert ici de fil conducteur, aura soit des accents tirant vers un Pink Floyd soit, des accents tirant vers le monde du métal. Celui-ci servira d'ailleurs de base à plusieurs des plages du présent opus. Le reste de l'orchestration sera assuré par les claviers, un piano, une guitare acoustique et une section rythmique.
"Innerstellar" se compose de 8 morceaux de rock-progressif instrumental où se dégagent deux différents aspects de la musique de Mikko. En effet, certaines plages lorgneront vers un métal atmosphérique où la guitare sera rageuse. D'autre part, une seconde partie des compositions lorgnera plutôt vers un rock atmosphérique teinté d'ambiant, avec des passages planants et aériens. Ceux-ci seront d'ailleurs magiques. Pour le premier aspect, on pourra y trouver des similitudes avec le travail d'un Pain Of Salvation ou d'un Porcupine Tree. Pour le second, on se rapprochera plus d'un No Man. Notons que certaines plages présenteront à la fois les deux facettes du musicien.
Les compositions apparentées à des ballades atmosphériques nous remettront en mémoire le magnifique album de Greylevel. Enfin, Mikko aura poussé à l'extrême la mise en place de ces compositions, en nous proposant une judicieuse alternance en passant d'un morceau calme à un morceau plus rythmé.
Concernant le travail au niveau de la guitare électrique, on pourra faire des rapprochements avec le jeu d'un Mike Oldfield, d'un "The Edge" ou d'un Steven Wilson. Bien sûr, les autres instruments ne seront pas mis en retrait. Les claviers, également fort présents, pourront avoir soit un aspect sautillant, soit un aspect apaisant. La section rythmique sera elle aussi bien positionnée. Il me restera à signaler un beau travail au niveau des passages au piano et à la guitare acoustique. En résumé, Mikko nous démontre ici ses excellentes capacités de musicien et de mixeur.
La question est de savoir, finalement, à qui s'adresse cet excellent album instrumental. Je pense sincèrement que tout un chacun pourra en retirer une certaine satisfaction, un certain plaisir. Un public sensible à toutes les références déjà citées. Car la musique de Mikko Muranen est un véritable melting-pot où, çà et là, on perçoit un soupçon de Pain Of Salvation, un soupçon de Porcupine Tree, quelques pincées de Pink Floyd ou de Vangelis et même, le fantôme du grand Zappa ! En ce qui me concerne, j'ai pensé très fort au "Metanoia" de la bande à Steven Wilson. Sachez d'ores et déjà que de nombreux journalistes ont félicité le travail du finlandais. "Innerstellar" est une grande bouffée d'oxygène atmosphérique. À vous de la capter !

This one will serve d' elsewhere basic with several of the beaches of the present opus. The remainder of l' orchestration will be ensured by the keyboards, a piano, an acoustic guitar and a rhythm section.
" Innerstellar" is composed of 8 pieces of rock'n'roll-progressive instrumental where two various aspects emerge from the music of Mikko. Indeed, certain beaches will lorgneront towards an atmospheric metal where the guitar will be rageuse. D' another share, one second part of the compositions will lorgnera rather towards an atmospheric rock'n'roll tinted d' ambient, with planing and air passages. Those will be d' elsewhere magic. For the first aspect, one will be able to find there similarities with work d' a Bread Off Salvation or d' Porcupine Tree. For the second, one will approach more d' No Man. Let us note that certain beaches will present at the same time the two facets of the musician. The compositions connected with atmospheric ballades will give us in memory the splendid album of Greylevel. Lastly, Mikko will have pushed with l' extreme the installation of these compositions, by proposing a judicious alternation to us while passing d' a piece calms with a piece plus rate/rhythm.
Concerning work on the level of the electric guitar, one will be able to make bringings together with the play d' a Mike Oldfield, d' a " The Edge" or d' Steven Wilson. Of course, the other instruments will not be put in withdrawal. The keyboards, also strong present, will be able to have either a hopping aspect, or an alleviating aspect.
